Gerinomo is a strongly built dog, with great bone and length. He came to us as a four year old, and handled the switch very well from town/kennel to farm/ranch. Extra plush coat, he is a major teddy bear and loves to be petted constantly!

It was a bolt from the blue when in the spring of '13 we were contacted by a retiring breeder, asking if we might be interested in his pair, (Misty & Geronimo) since he was moving. I wasn't really ready for that step, but when I saw their pedigrees and more info, I knew we couldn't refuse. Abi was so excited about Geronimo and he became her dog, and 'mate' to her Flash daughter, Luna. That pairing results in lovely wide heads with short pointed ears, lots of bone and wonderful temperaments... they have become a lot of service dogs, professional psychologists therapy dogs, and earned private International Therapy Dog certification. This is also the cross I recommended for a "pastured poultry guardian dog", as Luna has the most laid back, calml-protective disposition ever.
Introducing two breeding males did encounter some friction, so Geronimo adopted a pen area as "his" and conceded everything outside it to Flash as his territory. The "two kingdoms" policy kept them from conflicting.
When first approached about the idea, I wasn't sure we needed another male, but when I saw that he was from the Poker Flats breeders, I knew we couldn't go far wrong. His resemblance to Flash is truly remarkable. We're very grateful to have ended up with two great dogs from the McEwan's breeding program.
