"Luna" is Abi's dog, and follows her everywhere, from horse training in the round pen (while Luna is happy to loll in the shade of the corral all day and watch "her girl" working) to all morning rides out across the pastures, Luna stays with "her girl" no matter what the job.
 
Having limited-time access to Misty's lovely, old fashioned genetics, we knew the program needed her daughters. Abi selected Luna from the first Misty/Flash litter before they'd even opened their eyes, (and Abi picked right!) So Luna's been one of the family her entire life. In all her puppyhood days we can never remember her doing a single thing wrong; not a chewed shoe lace, never harrassed a cat or bothered the poultry... She has always had a very mellow energy level that never prompted her to seek out trouble. On the other hand, she always loves going on horse rides with Abi, so she has as much activity as a ranch dog requires!

She has a lovely, stable temperment that is outgoing with newcomers at the same time that she is an alert and highly effective watchdog. A very motherly dog, she loves on any small animal on the place, from licking the baby goats, to hovering protectively over baby chicks and not letting other dogs get near. She is just about the picture perfect example of a dream farm dog.

Luna pairs with Geronimo to produce absolutely doll-faced, substantial puppies with wonderful, steady dispositions of general happiness no matter what happens. I am continually falling in love again and again with "Luna pups", and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality this cross puts into people's homes. (And careers!) Luna's calmly protective and unflabbable temperament have earned her the nick-name of "the laziest Tervuren" from others. I recommend her babies for jobs that want a low-energy, high alert, and long-on-patience disposition.

 
{Side Note: One of Luna's litter-mate brothers went to Alaska to be the dog in the TV show "Wild Alaskan Bush People" and is called "Mr. Cupcake." He was known as "Badge" while he was with us. The other brother went to New Hampshire, and was reported as "The best decision we've ever made!" by his family up there.}
